TRIED & TESTED // Seed Snacks

December 31, 2018 by Lisa Thake Leave a Comment

Nutrition is key to healthy living – there are many quotes about how exercise needs to be paired with a healthy diet for best results.  There are even more quotes about how exercise alone will not work over a bad diet.  It’s all about moderation and balance.

Seed Snacks review

Snacking is something that also seems to have a negative connotation with most people associating snacks with foods that are processed or high in sugar and/or fat.  But this doesn’t have to be the case especially for those of us that train a lot and use healthy snacks to provide energy or in fact anyone wishing to maintain a healthy lifestyle when it comes to their nutrition.

Pep & Lekker is an organic food company run by two best friends and sisters in law.  Their business looks to provide healthy snacks that are:

  • made from natural ingredients
  • have no added sugar
  • gluten free
  • suitable for vegans.

There are three flavours in their seed snacks including:

  • rosemary and pumpkin
  • fennel and sunflower seed
  • cumin and nigella seed

I can say they made a great snack, however, I would not eat them alone.  They are a similar consistency to Ryvita and whilst some may eat without anything else, I preferred with a dip and ate with humous and also crunched up on top of fresh soup.

It was great to see another company use packaging that is recyclable too and using minimal packaging as more and more companies have a lot of unnecessary on products but the pouches these snacks come in are completely fit for purpose.

More Information

Seed Snacks can be found in Ocado and also Planet Organic though at £2.99 for a 30g pouch are quite expensive in my opinion.
