WE WENT: The Alpro Ice Cream Oasis

June 17, 2017 by HelloFitty Leave a Comment

Alpro partnered with Luna Cinema to hold an exclusive screening of Dreamgirls at Victoria Embankment Gardens to mark the start of The Luna Summer Series, and hosted an exclusive VIP pre-party – The Alpro Ice Cream Oasis. Writers Sophie Kay and Hannah Cox (full of ice cream), report back.

The Ice Cream Oasis was a paradise for all ice cream fans, including its own hazelnut wood, coconut grove and vanilla enclave, plus pools and pools of plant-based sprinkles

The Alpro Ice Cream Oasis was truly that, an oasis of twinkly lights, beautiful cocktails and delicious ice creams. It was set next to the main area for The Luna Summer Series and gave us a place to chill out before the film started when the sun went down. We sampled some of their prosecco and gin cocktails and indulged in their delicious plant-based ice cream topped with vegan sprinkles. There were cushions everywhere and little seats so it was a lovely place to relax in.

Highlights: The chocolate hazelnut ice cream flavor was a revelation, it tasted exactly like dairy ice cream and was so delicious, I could have eaten the whole tub!

Top takeaways: If you need to or prefer to eat a dairy-free or vegan diet then the Alpro ice cream is a perfect option as your friends who eat dairy won’t be able to tell the difference! Particularly if you top it with all sorts of deliciousness to create sundaes like we had.

How to book: Tickets for the Luna Cinema cost £20. Whilst the Alpro Ice Cream Oasis was for one night only, the Luna Cinema will be open until the end of September and you can buy food and drink there. See all film showings and locations at www.thelunacinema.com
